Who we are
Dare is an Independent Radio Group founded by Lu Cozma and Mark Watkins.
Our goals
Short term
To conduct a trial FM / internet broadcast under a Restricted Service Licence if granted by the broadcasting authority, Ofcom.
Medium term
To have a permanent on-air presence / digital platform.
Long term
To provide a cutting edge radio service at the heart of a future hub with modern recording studios incorporating art and design installations.
Music policy
A ratio of 80% new / recently new to 20% gold (1970’s – 2000’s) with elements of free-form, playing contemporary songs including Americana, Classical, Folk and Indie genres.
Speech content
News (national and international) on the hour and daily; thirty minutes of local news on weekday evenings; community and cultural bulletins throughout, plus features on books, films, plays and poetry.
Audience
Dare offers all listeners the bright, radical and daring in terms of music (new) and content (arts and culture). Age is just a number.
